Parkside Avenue, Brooklyn

It is the beloved eastern entrance into Prospect Park; it is the humblest subway stop within five minutes of Atlantic Avenue; it is the humming borderlands of three different neighborhoods.

Last autumn we—the neighbors who walk Parkside Avenue every day and the merchants who keep shop on the block year in and year out—asked designers and architects for help in reimaging one block of Brooklyn. The prize we offered: one thousand dollars.

The entries are in, the jury has convened, we invite you to come see the winners!
